CHURCH VILLAGE HOSTING CENTRE
Our Church Village Hosting Centre is a 10,000sq/ft, 250 rack facility located with it's own on-site substation.
Chosen for the high Welsh Valley hillside location, the location combines a high level of physical security and complete protection from flood-risk. The low year-round ambient site temperatures, combined with evaporative cooling and high efficiency power systems give excellent environmental credentials to the Centre. Whilst many data centres buy carbon-neutral power to minimise environmental impact, the Church Village Centre has efficiency built in.
Secure Site
The Church Village facility sits within a private one-acre gated compound. No boundaries run along public roads or highways, and the entrance is descreetly located and signed. Swipe Card access is by steel doors certified to LPBC 1175 Issue 7 in both external access and hosting areas, and 24x7 monitoring includes off-site CCTV recording internally and externally.
Building contruction is dual engineering brick with 9" steel reinforced concrete cavity core. All floors and ceilings are constructed of 9" steel-reinforced concrete and the main hosting areas are located underground.
Secure Network
We are carrier neutral with over 300Gbits of fibre already installed providing Internet Transit and Private networks. Internet connectivity has physical, and carrier, diversity offering 10Mbit to 10Gbit links.
From our Points of Presence we connect to BT, Surf, Virgin, Hibernia, Cogent, LINX, Easynet, Claranet, Gamma and others.
Secure Power
The Church Village site was formerly a Sub-Station and Control Centre Site. The Grid Transformers are located within the site with direct internal 11Kv feeds to the power switch gear.
A fully automated, permanently pre-warmed, 0.5Mw marine diesel generator provides auto-start power redundancy for the entire site, with 4 days of on-site fuel supplies, and 8 hour replenishment agreements.
Live full-load tests are conducted weekly.
Secure Support
Our on-site support team provide Remote Hands services 24x7 , and also support our networks.
Centre Access is 24x7, with assistance with equipment moves and common spares such as cabling and connectors. We've regularly been know to lend a server or switch when required!
